Departing temporarily from Ma'alaea Harbor, Maui Hawaii, our center console vessel is the ideal choice for anglers and adventurers in search of a challenge. This is stand-up fishing at its best.
Full-day fishing charters leave the dock between 3:00 to 4 am, so be prepared to board 15 mins prior to departure. We encourage people to book a full-day trip whenever possible. That gives you plenty of time to work Maui’s most productive waters!
Depending on the weather, most fishing trips involve a 20-40 mile run offshore to one of Maui’s Fish Aggregation Devices, or “FADs”. Using a combination of live bait, dead bait, and trolling lures, fast-moving pelagic game fish such as mahi-mahi (dorado), yellowfin and big eye tuna (ahi), striped and blue marlin, spearfish, and an occasional ono (wahoo) can be found. Fish caught usually range in size from 9 to over 40 lbs. The trolling trip back to shore is always different. En route, the crew will point out any dolphins, whales, and other marine life you might be lucky enough to come across.
Center console (aka CC’s) fishing is sometimes a bit more of an adventure than the cabin sportfishing boats. “CC’s” are open to the elements and they often fish in wind and waves that spray water on guests. We recommend that you dress appropriately to enjoy this unique experience.
Our most popular trip. We leave early from the harbor (between 3 to 4 am) and head out 30-40 miles. We can fish more than one FAD during an 8 hour trip and troll on the way back as well. We use a combination of live and/or frozen bait and trolling lures to target the pelagic species. Boarding is 15mins prior to departure.
Our 6 hour fishing trip leaves early (between 3 and 4 am) and heads out 20-30 miles from Lahaina Harbor to a FAD in the Pacific Ocean. We use a combination of live and/or frozen bait, and trolling lures to target the pelagic species. Boarding time is 15 mins prior to departure.
Our 4 hour inshore fishing trip will take you trolling the waters around Maui, Molokini crater, Kaho'olawe, and Lanai searching for hook ups with pelagic species such as mahi mahi, ono, billfish, tuna and other species. This is not a bottom fishing excursion. Departure time will be determined by Captain (usually 6-7 am)
This is an very active style of fishing where you get to have a rod in your hand. Perfect for family fishing trips or those wanting to fish but not only troll. Our bottom fishing charter focuses on catching types of fish frequently found in the deep waters near the shores of Maui. With bottom fishing we can catch an amazing variety of fish such as Uku (gray snapper), Ehu, Ta'ape, and Ulua (trevally). Our crew will be using a combination of live and cut bait and artificial jigs. Our gear is a mixture of light spinning and conventional tackle.

The short answer to this question is yes, but there are stipulations. We are happy to cut a a portion of the day's catch (up to 30 pounds whole fish) for our clients to enjoy while they are on Maui. However, we do not want any fish to be wasted. Healthy fish populations are invaluable and, as there are no limits in Hawaii, we take it upon ourselves to respect the resource. We like to see our customers enjoy the fresh fish that they caught. Any excess catch will go to the local markets and restaurants. Processing fish depends on the size and species of fish. Captain's discretion on which fish to cut.
Unfortunately, catching fish is not an absolute certainty. Generally, longer charters have better odds of catching quality fish. The only guarantee we can make is that we will try our very best to put you on the fish.
We accept credit card payments in full at the time of booking.
